Markings
Impressed on underside, three partially struck stamps arranged in a circle, counterclockwise from top: (1) & (2) Identical stamps of: "SAMUEL" and "HAMLIN" in two stacked, arched banners with foliate decorations. (3) Oval stamp with banner containing "H[…]D" around upper edge and banner containing "[illegible letters]" around lower edge; in center, 4-legged animal (wolf?) hanging by chain from top banner over stylized flames.
