  • September 7, 1939 A three day meeting, September 7, 8 and 9 will be held at the Brooklyn Museum under the auspices of the Lithuanian American Women’s Committee preceding the Lithuanian Day at the World’s Fair. The time will be divided between business meetings and discussion and inspection of results of Lithuanian culture in connection with an exhibition of Lithuanian Handicraft which will be on view at the Museum.

We are planning to give you fuller details in time for daily papers just preceding September 7 and weeklies in time for use in the issue of the week of the meeting. If you would rather have this arranged in any other way, please let us know as we shall be glad to conform to what is best for you editorially.)

  • May 4, 1939 A loan exhibition of Lithuanian Village Art will go on view at the Brooklyn Museum on Friday, May 5th, to continue through May 14th, which includes textiles, wood carvings, amber jewelry and peasant costumes. There will also be a Lithuanian dance and music program at 3:00 o’clock on Saturday, May 6th, at the Museum.

    Lenders to the exhibition are Mrs. Jonas Budrys, wife of the Consul-General of Lithuania, Mrs. Aleksejus, Rev. John Balkunas, Mrs. J. Garszva, Mrs. M. Sinus, Mrs. Ona Valaitis, Mrs. J. Waluk and the Knights of Lithuania.
