  • December 19, 1947 A few years ago John R. Hogan was unknown to photographers, but today his marine photographs which are full of the mood and restlessness of the sea have been gaining steadily in popularity. He has always been filled with an overwhelming love of the sea and has photographed it often, but it is only since 1936 that he has taken up pictorial photography with any degree of seriousness. He is a fellow of the Royal Photographic Society and Photographic Society of America.

An exhibition of 35 of his photos will be on view at the Brooklyn Museum from December 19th through February 3rd.
