Object Label

This elaborately inlaid decorative ring most likely adorned the rim of a lacquered vessel. The core materials of the vessel, probably wood, fabric, or woven basketry, are all highly perishable, and the vessel would have disintegrated over the centuries, leaving only the surviving ring.
