The figure is facing towards the left edge of the handle. He is set against a stippled background decorated with a floral vine pattern on top and three vertically aligned flowers in bottom. Reverse of handle is decorated with four molded incised lines that form a triangular division on top two-thirds of handle. The curved projection is decorated with intertwined S-scrolls as on front. Arcadian Pattern.
