    CATALOGUE DESCRIPTION Very small marble female head with rather long, oval face; eyes close together and not in exactly same axis. Mouth is short and full. Hair is parted in center and drawn to bun at nape of neck; a fillet and tiara bind hair which is grooved from crown and on sides and bun in parallel strands. Large “button” earrings cover earlobes. Condition: Head intact except for chips on nose, tiara and bun, wear on chin. Neck irregularly broken from below chin to above shoulder. Small hole bored vertically into neck with rust residue. Stone slightly mottled and darkened, with traces of whitish reside in places.
