Self-Portrait

John Coplans

Photography

John Coplans’s work with photography consists entirely of images of his own naked body. Often unflattering, they do not conform at all to the ideal of the male physique. But in their candor and occasional humor, his photographs document how an ordinary man looks as he ages.
