CATALOGUE DESCRIPTION White porcelain cake plate; vitreous glaze, with colored and gilded decorations. Round flat plate with wide, slightly concave rim; at sides, rim is pulled out to accommodate oval cut-out handles. Handles surrounded by long, leaf forms edged with gold, black, and green vine design. Rim decorated with maroon border with flowers and butterflies in yellow, green, blues, and gilt. Two gold rings in center of plate. Condition: Good; losses to gilding and scratches in paint; scuffs in glaze.
