Frequent Art Questions
I'd like to know more about this frog!
This paperweight in the form of a frog was designed by Karl L. H. Mueller around 1875 and produced by the Union Porcelain Works right here in Brooklyn. Mueller was one of the company’s most talented designers. It is made of bisque (unglazed porcelain), a material valued from its resemblance to marble.
