    CATALOGUE DESCRIPTION Smoking Stand: Antler and wood. Base is formed from single stag antler placed horizontally. Stem of table comprises six intertwined antlers screwed together with metal screws, arranged vertically. Top is made up of two broad horizontal, antlers, screwed together where they overlap. Attached to top of table are three open wooden cylinders, each covered with a gesso that has been formed to look like bark and capped with a rim of antler; on top of table is also a partial antler joint, carved out to form an ash tray and another disc of antler on which rests a rectangular piece of bone, partially polished, which serves as a striker. On under side of tabletop are the remains of a rectangular label, green and black. CONDITION - One of the canisters on the tabletop is lacking its rim and much of its gesso; some gesso missing from other canisters; all lack lids. Label effaced.
