CATALOGUE DESCRIPTION Elongated, ovoid bowl with three concave lobes conforming to bowl join to stem, proper right of bowl interior etched with leafy rose branch with gilt leaves and revealed silver roses. First quarter of handle is undecorated; sides then flare gradually and are pinched before forming a finial section that is trapezoidal form with rounded corners and concave sides. Molded decoration consists of long stem rose at mid-point with two clusters of three leaves topped by an asymmetrical two branch sprig of roses with rose at top of each branch extending into the trapezoidal area at end of handle. Trapezoidal area molded to resemble hammered surface and has a molded fly and single flower with two leaves in the upper corners that balance the two roses at either corner below. The reverse is undecorated except for an incised line articulating the upper trapezoidal area. Upper surface plated with rose gold, reverse of bowl gilt.
