"CUR" at the beginning of an image file name means that the image was created by a curatorial staff member. These study images may be digital point-and-shoot photographs, when we don\'t yet have high-quality studio photography, or they may be scans of older negatives, slides, or photographic prints, providing historical documentation of the object.
Long, ovoid shape tapering to base, with slightly canted rounded foot, slightly domed hinged lid attached with small horizontal hinge and decorative, small, spherical, polished silver colored metal plate, with a large round, black, Bakelite finial; applied outward flaring spout that curves to body and opposing thick, black, ear shaped Bakelite handle; attached to inner top and outer edge of each handle are thin, horizontal rectangular bands, in polished silver colored metal attached with small circular metal pins.
