Gift of Paul F. Walter
Figure, glazed earthenware. The folded figure is in the shape of a seated spaniel with its head facing right. Spaniel sits on a rectangular base with concave corners, scalloped along the front edge and molded in center of front with inverted fleur de lis. Yellow-ware body partially covered with white glaze over which is splattered with a dark brown glaze.
Condition: Overall good condition. Two visible firing cracks at the base. Drilled hole on the bottom of the base, once probably 'plugged.' Chips to glaze around the drill hole.
