"CUR" at the beginning of an image file name means that the image was created by a curatorial staff member. These study images may be digital point-and-shoot photographs, when we don\'t yet have high-quality studio photography, or they may be scans of older negatives, slides, or photographic prints, providing historical documentation of the object.
Flask, glazed earthenware. Flask is in the shape of a hardcover book. The spout is located at the top front edge of flask. The flask has a smooth surface, excluding the binding decoration on the 'spine' of the book. The glaze appears to be a spatter type flint glaze. The 'cover' of the book has an olive color, and the inside or 'pages' of the book have a blue-green and orange color.
