CATALOGUE DESCRIPTION
Hollow metal vessel in the shape of a male calf, straining to reach his mother's teat. The calf is adorned with jewels. The hole at its mouth would have held incense and released smoke. Most likely used in a Krishna temple, where bovine imagery was common.
