A panel of malachite is visible behind the grille. The sides of the clock's body are silver and each side has a diamond shape filled with stylized leaf forms centered in rectangular panels. Two additional panels ornament the sides of the hood, each with stylized pendant bellflowers. The dial of the clock has roman numerals and, at lower right, a smaller dial for seconds. The back of the clock has hinged circular door behind dial with stylized leaf ornament at edge and small knob on right. Below this is a rectangular panel witih reverse arch at top conforming to door.
