    CATALOGUE DESCRIPTION Amphora styled vase, bulbous central section with tall thin neck, on a raised rimed foot, white underglaze. Central section, light blue glaze, with applied gold leaf decoration of a large flower and leaf bouquet, reverse has decoration of a single floral branch in applied gold leaf; shoulders of vase have mirrored,applied,single, man/beast Roman grotesque in cream and gold leaf; neck, also in cream and gold, narrows at mid point and opens to flat rim. Impressed decoration on neck and foot, highlighted in gold leaf, thick gold leaf band at base and thin gold leaf band at neck rim.
