    CATALOGUE DESCRIPTION Octagonal shaped compote with polychrome decoration and gold paint highlights, decoration includes the underside, stem formed by four animal paw feet and with a flat decorated canted corner disc at base between paw feet. Flat octagonal shaped upper section with molded rope braid outer edge, at center: abstract geometric design motif in pink, with small blue flowers and red spikes; outer edge decorated with alternating deign of dark green bamboo shoots with small dark blue flowers and red spikes and four cartouches with four pairs of birds, the birds in several colors including grey, yellow, red and blue; the decoration on the upper section of bamboo and birds is repeated on the underside. The compote is supported on four gold colored animal paw feet with at the base a raised polychrome decorated canted corner disc set between the animal paws; thick gold band at compote rim and base.
