CATALOGUE DESCRIPTION
Classical shape vase in dark blue overglaze and under glaze decoration of Japanese cranes in flight. Short classical shape dark blue vase with tall fluted neck with flared rim and raised dot and geometric pattern at neck base. Main body: squat round body in dark blue with underglaze decoration of Japanese cranes in flight and single crane and floral bough on reverse; attached handle in shape of mythical sea creature mask at each shoulder, highlighted in gold and attached domed circular foot with raised decoration in gold.
