On underside, molded diamond mark (registered design) with year 1872 indicated by "I". Near rim, impressed: "1392" and illegible other marks.

CATALOGUE DESCRIPTION
Yellow bamboo stalk vase on wider dark green circular base decorated with green leaves and two playing monkeys, with brown bodies and white faces. The upper-positioned monkey with it's proper left hand holds the tail of the lower monkey, who is holding a coconut in its proper left hand. Interior and underside glazed blue. Interior of foot glazed with pink rim.
