CATALOGUE DESCRIPTION Dagger with brass handle. Figures of Narasimha (Vishnu's man-lion avatar) above Hanuman (monkey general to Rama) appear on the hand guard, flanked by parrots with a kirtimukha (hungry demon face) where the handle meets the blade.
