CATALOGUE DESCRIPTION Woman's breast ornament or sequil consisting of two horizontal plaques with incised designs connected by three vertical chains of flat disks. The upper plaque is decorated with incised bird forms facing each other and two cross-shaped danglers. The lower trapezoidal-shaped plaque is decorated with an incised flower at the center and eight coin-shaped danglers along the bottom. The ornament is worn in the middle of the chest via a pin on the back that fastens the two ends of a shawl. Condition: good; some surface wear from use.
