CATALOGUE DESCRIPTION
(a) white bodied, elongated ovid form, on a raised, slightly canted foot. Aesthetic style design, transfer printed in brown, asymmetrical design and design repeated on either side. Center: fan, outlined in orange and red, with three diving birds, two birds highlighted in yellow and blue and third in dark yellow. Proper right: circle with abstract design in blue and yellow against background of bamboo plant with dark and pale green leaves. Proper left: circle with large narrow petal flower, petals highlighted in pink, surrounded by smaller red flowers, against background of bamboo plant with brown stem and green leaves. At proper right near foot: small floral design in blue, pink and green.
(b) domed lid with asymmetrical design of a fan, outlined in orange and red, with three diving birds, two highlighted in yellow and blue and third in dark yellow. Proper right: circle with large narrow petal flower, petals highlighted in pink, surrounded by smaller red flowers. At upper right: thin angular leaves in dark and pale green. Bottom right: floral bouquet in green, blue and pink. Proper left top: circle with abstracted floral motif, highlighted in blue and yellow, against background of bamboo plant with dark yellow and pale grey stem and dark green and pale green leaves.
Condition: (a) very good, overall light crazing and staining to interior.
