Incription on verso: "La diosa del maiz (Niwetsika), dio para el hombre dos de sus hijas para que el a su ves, multiplicara los hijos de las mismas permitiendo que se expandieran entre todas las familias en multiples colores. Neikame 2006.09" Translation of inscription on verso: “The goddess of corn (Niwetsika) gave to man two of her daughters so they could multiply among themselves allowing them to expand their families in multiple colors.”
