Frequent Art Questions

  • Tell me more.

This pin, with its wire hanger illustration and its slogan "NEVER AGAIN," is a statement against the dangerous home abortions that women have often resorted to due to the illegality of abortion procedures and criminalization of abortion providers.
Bowers wants to acknowledge and honor the activism of the women of the 1960s pro-choice movement, before Roe v. Wade was passed in 1973. And she does it through this beautifully decorated pencil drawing.
