    CATALOGUE DESCRIPTION Circular medal. Obverse: image of early train engine, text below image, "PETER COOPER'S 'TOM THUMB'", text circling image, "THE BALTIMORE AND OHIO RAILROAD COMPANY / 1827-1927". Reverse: train speeding toward viewer on diagonal with allegorical figure above, text circling image: "ONE HUNDRED YEARS / SAFETY STRENGTH SPEED". Commemorates 100th anniversary of the railroad.
