"CUR" at the beginning of an image file name means that the image was created by a curatorial staff member. These study images may be digital point-and-shoot photographs, when we don\'t yet have high-quality studio photography, or they may be scans of older negatives, slides, or photographic prints, providing historical documentation of the object.
Pewter double arm patent lamp. Round disk base rises to stepped edge, concave on top, then rises in center to narrow, balustrade shaft of bulbous lobes and disks. Shaft supports oil reservoir with bulbous lower section and cylindrical body with flat-domed top. Two identical small, can-shaped wells project out from lower section of main reservoir by short tube; each small well has round, screw in top with two upright, slotted feed tubes.
CONDITION: Good; some scratches, pitting, and spots of discoloration; possible old mend near bottom of main reservoir; feed tubes corroded and inside of small wells rusted.
