Impressed on underside, from top to bottom: (1) nearly obliterated stamp of lion rampant in gateway with "THOMAS" in arch above and "DANFORTH" in rectangular base [only the lion is faintly visible] (2) row of 4 small, shield-shaped hallmarks containing, from left to right: "T.D"; head of dragon in profile; seated allegorical figure; upright sword [last hallmark badly worn]
