"CUR" at the beginning of an image file name means that the image was created by a curatorial staff member. These study images may be digital point-and-shoot photographs, when we don\'t yet have high-quality studio photography, or they may be scans of older negatives, slides, or photographic prints, providing historical documentation of the object.
Square, colorless pressed glass plate with notched corners and a profile bust portrait of Kaiser Wilhelm I in the circular center register. The rim is decorated with molded springs of oak leaves and acorns and laurel leaves and berries along each side; a row of side-by-side molded bars with rounded tops (or ribbing) intersects the rim along a diagonal between each notched corner and the center register.
