    CATALOGUE DESCRIPTION Ash wood pipe stem is carved, pierced and painted with red and blue-green paint. It is decorated with horsehair, a bird scalp, and a piece of silk ribbon. The original Jarvis inscription reads, "Indian Pipe Menominee."
