Impressed on underside, from top to bottom: (1) Rectangular stamp with rounded top edge: in center, eagle with spread wings holding branch and bunch of arrows in its claws, with American shield over its body; framed by "THOMAS" around top rounded edge and "BADGER" across bottom edge. (2) "BOSTON" in partially struck rectangular stamp with serpentine flourish below.
