Markings

Impressed on underside in center, from top to bottom: (1) & (2) two identical, side-by-side stamps that are badly worn down (only a few outlines are faintly visible) of archway with "THOMAS" in arch supported by columns and "DANFORTH" in rectangular base; lion or dragon rampant in center (3) row of shield-shaped hallmarks, only 3 are visible, containing, from left to right: "T.D"; head of dragon; and seated allegorical figure [there was probably originally a fourth mark with an upright sword, as in Laughlin 363]
