    CATALOGUE DESCRIPTION Plaque, lateral oval, unframed, blue and cane (or discolored white) jasperware: of "the Dipping of Achilles", depicting a woman (Thetis) in ancient Grecian dress, kneeling on left knee, holding an infant (Achilles) over a fluted font, enclosed by an inner self wreath-frame of leaves and buds. Figures and wreath in molded and applied separate off-white clay elements CONDITION - Good.
