Impressed on underside in center: (1) partially impressed oval stamp with scrolled border containing eagle in center with outspread wings and an American crest over its breast, rays radiate around its head; "THOMAS.D" around top edge and "BO[ARD]MAN" around bottom edge. (2) identical and next to stamp #1; "THO[MAS.D]" (partially worn)
