Label on top; “DR. BENNET'S / PLANT & ROOT / Pills". Label on bottom (partially obliterated by stamp): "GOOD FOR / ALL DISEASES / PLANT & ROOT PILLS". Stamp: a one center, with George Washington in center, on top is "U.S. INTER. REV."; on bottom of engraved picture is "PROPRIETARY". Label around circumference: "Good for all Diseases. They restore the sick to blooming health.... (not) genuine unless signed George Bennet" (the name in signature). On the e other circumference: "Entered according to Act of Congress, A.D. 1846, by G. BENNETT< (sic.) President of the English College of Health. Each box contains 25 Pills. Dose 2 to 4."
