Catalogue Description:
Shofar (ram's horn) hatched with a Hebrew inscription made in the 20th century. Cross hatch decoration on rim of horn; scrolled line decoration in triangle on curve of horn. Inscription quoted from Genesis 22:13 " And Abraham lifted up his eyes, and looked and, behind him a ram caught in a thicket by his horns; and Abraham went and took the ram and offered him up for burnt-offering instead of his son." Condition: Moderate wear around the lip; crack on rim; ring around rim broken.
