Shield. Wood, bamboo, rattan, pigment. Long, convex, rectangular board carved with deeply incised concentric curvilinear designs representing a face in the center. Empathic figure/ground relationship created by black and white coloring. Handle lashed onto back side at 4 points visible from front. Condition: Good. Abrasions on front side.
