Catalogue Description:
Tile with burgundy-colored transfer print. The tile is square, with design composition consisting of a straight-lined border on two of the four sides, with a pattern of abstract quadrate floral motives framed by second border. In tile center are two roundels, each containing an abstract flower with six petals; around each rondel are four, evenly spaced, tri-parted clover motives. The tile is overgrazed with a clear glass glaze. CONDITION: Good; there is a brown discoloration, mottled through front surface of the tile; a red-brown discoloration along the top and bottom edges of tile back, probably a rust stain; there are two corners chipped, and one chip to colored border between two chipped corners.
