Table: Wood, gesso. Tripod base formed of three conch-shell like elements, which terminate in pad feet, each with a dark finish but silvered surface in concave central sections. The legs join central pedestal of table and on front of table there is a concave reserve, silvered between the two legs. Central pedestal rises in a wavy line to table top where it divides into five parts, the entire carved to look like a plant branch, silvered with oxidized patina, its head appearing in the front center of pedestal. Top of table is formed in the shape of a flattened scallop shell with silvered surface and dark, rustic edges. CONDITION - Surface damaged in places throughout, especially on table top and one large loss to pedestal. Evidence of old infestation on pedestal. One flange of scallop shell broken and previously repairs.
