Catalogue Description:
Footed bowl. Silver. Inside: silver gilt. Hemispherical shape on domed foot with engraved vermicule decoration and applied decoration of a meander with leaves, stems and berries attached. Outside bowl decorated throughout with applied leaves, stems, and berries. On 4 places around the top are applied birds with spread wings. One bird is sitting on top of an oval cartouche. The background is an engraved vermicule pattern. Above this is a beaded band. The division between foot and bowl is undecorated as is the lower part of the foot. Condition: Dirty (oxidized). Residue of silver polish between wings of birds. Inside bowl: scratched throughout and dents in several places. Bottom foot scratches; along rim: normal wear and tear.
