Catalogue Description:
Unglazed ewer with polychrome and gilt decoration. Ewer with long neck and flared rim, with gilt decoration inside the neck of alternating thin gold band, thick gold band and diaper pattern in gold; beneath neck at join to main body, red wave design and below regularly spaced light and dark green trailing ivy design below with regularly spaced descending dark blue and gold trumpet shaped flowers; attached curlicue handle with raised decorative pattern highlighted in red and green and gold and a male and female mask painted in gold at midpoint and end of handle; thin gold band at lower third of body and thin gold band on short circular foot.
