Catalogue Description:
Candlestick raised on scalloped, stepped, circular base with symmetrical applied and chased decoration of four oval cartouches with stylized leaf at center surrounded by canted reserves with cross hatching and scrollwork with flowers above and below. Cylindrical shaft, tapered towards bottom, with panels rising to shoulders with four oval cartouches echoing design on base with stylized leaves, center, surrounded by scrolling leaves, sloping inward to pinched neck rising to large detachable bobeche with chased panels; wide scalloped rim repeating design at base and shoulders with chased oval cartouches with scrollwork alternating with symmetrical canted rectangular reserves with cross-hatching. Condition: Very good.
