Catalogue Description:
Whimsical cup, ceramic with polychrome glaze. Bowl roughly hemispherical with a somewhat elongated end (resembles half a peach). Interior pink, rim yellow, exterior decorated with shades of purple, pink and green. Slotted over one end of rim is a thin mauve rectangle with three green folded oval (leaf-like) projections. Fitted over rim at opposite end is a small-bisected somewhat pointed gray orb. Stem is in the form of two stacked '2' with three horizontal rectangles (top, middle, bottom) connected by two rectangles at a 45-degree angle. At center of each angle is a triangle with a hole at its center. Stem is mauve, triangles alternating shades of yellow and green. Attached to center of stem is a white right triangle with geometric cutouts. Slotted on to base are four upright circular feet. CONDITION: Excellent.
