Catalogue Description:
Two stringed lute. Tortoise shell resonater. Straight wooden neck. Carved at end of neck is a round tabular decoration. One of two pegs is still found in place. A fiber plucking cord is still attached to peg. The anterior surface of the resonator is a hide covering on which several round sounding holes are found. Condition: Worn. Tortoise shell is cracked. Hide is also cracked in sections and is beginning to come apart. Wood is scratched.
