Catalogue Description: Low stool with circular base and seat. Concave stool top has four parallel bands of brass studs crossing through center in one direction and three additional parallel bands of similar studs crossing through center in another direction. There is also a double band of studs following the edge of the rim. Its trunk like support curves inward until it is interrupted by a bulbous center, then moves outward to a circular base. Deep vertical lines are carved on support and base; large, deep slices are cut out from bulbous center; all contribute to the decoration of the stool. Triangular-shaped hole towards edge of top is used for carrying. Object is cracked.
