Catalogue Description:
A tripod bowl with a flaring rim and overall red glaze. The black decoration consists of a thick line around the rim, a thinner line on the inside of the bowl. The body design is of 3 X-shaped elements with 3 and 4 dots inside the space between the X shapes. Two thick vertical black lines frame each X element. The rattle feet have 2 vertical openings and a notch at the bottom, each is decorated with 3 wide black lines on the front side. The ceramic style is Cot Black Line, 1000-1550. Condition: numerous chips on the rim, surface dirt and abrasions, one leg is repaired in 2 places.
