Catalogue Description:
Blue and creamy white faience tile; originally square. On the obverse the representation of a striding female sphinx with wings wearing a crenelated crown; far foreleg and near hind leg advanced; short bob hairdo. Edges are beveled. Condition: Much chipped and discolored; lower left corner with foot of far leg and upper left corner lost; sides and back now dark brown to black.
