Circular medal. Obverse: City in flames, winged figure flying above; text below scene: "CHICAGO OCT 8-9 1871, / FORT DEARBORN CHICo. / 1812." Reverse: Phoenix rising from flames amid smoke surrounded by the words: "MADE FROM CHICAGO COURT HOUSE BELL / SEMPER RESURGENS." CONDITION: Normal wear, good.
