Catalogue Description: Circular bronze disk or wheel. Upper rim decorated with chevron design and four oblongs containing triangular cross design. Center connected to rim by four groups of two scrolls each. Under side of object undecorated. Center pierced and fitted with socket on under side for attachment. Use of object unknown. Apparently a detail from a larger composition. Design of the object recalls parallel designs in the small gold clasps commonly found on necklaces of the Roman period in Egypt. Bronze of good quality and suggests a fairly early date. Condition: Good condition but heavily incrusted with light green incrustation.
