Catalogue Description:
One female head of limestone. Plastered and painted. Condition: Broken off diagonally from near base of neck up to bottom of bun of hair. Large chip in upper surface of bun. Long cracks in hair; chip in forehead; other small chips. Most of gesso and paint missing except around eyes. Much of hair, left side of face and neck, and left ear are covered with a thick layer of encrusted sand.
